How would you characterize those pickups?

So- I just installed them- only played thru my small Markbass amp (I live in a condo)... they are very ‘articulate’ with a nice, crisp bottom- thru the bridge pickup and have nice ‘low’-mids throughout. I have SD QP’s in my #1 (Precision) & SD Antiquity II’s in my other P... so I wanted something ‘hot’ but not too brash... hope that makes sense.

So how do you like the narrow-tall frets? Compared to the medium jumbo?

Welp- I (realized) I must be accustomed to the med/jumbos... *these* frets made it easier to ‘miss’ clean notes, in that if I was off a bit, would get some buzz, etc. I have, since, sold this bass- more to do with just not enjoying a J bass. ;)

So, the medium jumbo frets may cover up - or even induce - some sloppiness, while the narrow tall frets contribute to cleaner playing. Do I get it right?

That’s a good way to put it  My finger strength has lessened, due to arthritis, age, work fatigue, etc. Not sure how much the frets affected that- but noticeable to me... I wouldn’t say they induce sloppiness- just a little bit easier to ‘miss’ a few notes...

Thanks again for your reply. The reason I'm asking is that, owning an 2008 AmSt Pbass (with medium jumbo frets), I'm considering buying a 2019 (or 2020, not sure what year exactly it is) AmPro Pbass (with narrow-tall frets). I cannot try it out, have to mail order it, so I'm trying to figure out in advance whether I'll like it as regards the different frets, or not. If I do buy it, I'll keep both, one with trebly roundwounds (NYXL or so) and one with old school flats.
