NBD: 1965 Hofner 500/1 and a Weird Issue

Bass on will be the neck pickup with no bridge. Treble on will be the bridge pickup with no neck. Both on should not give you any sound at all. Both off should be both pickups on. With both pickup on the Rhythm position works by reducing the volume of the bridge pickup to a small degree which lowers the treble a bit. If I remember it all correctly

Correct. "Bass On" on mine is very low volume.
