NBD: 1967 GIBSON EB-2

View attachment 7287312Not exactly new, just resurrected. This was my first bass, purchased in 1971, but closeted since about 1980 with electronics issues, fretwear, etc.

I shipped it to Gibson Repair and Restoration in Nashville in mid June and they brought it back to life in just 6 weeks. (Initially I was told it might take 4-6 months, so this was a nice surprise.)

The Work:
1) Plane/Refret
2) Replace the Nut
3) Clean the electronics
4) Replace a pot
5) Install a new baritone switch
6) Reinstall a vintage under-the-bridge mute (1st owner tossed the original)
7) Smooth/Fill a fretboard gash
8) Pro Setup

Plays and sounds realiy good now. No issues. Gibson R&R does exceptional work. Feels new, like 1967 again.

It's beautiful, and you've taken such good care of it, the restoration is stunning - well done!
