After wanting a 60s/70s Mustang for a while but being extremely picky and only considering ones I could play in person, I finally found one I love.
It's only 7.8 pounds and has next to no signs of wear. The neck is perfectly straight with no dead spots or buzzy frets. I love the forearm contour and don't understand why Fender refuses to put it on modern Mustangs.
The biggest thing for me is the neck has no dents or dings. It feels brand new. I've tried so many pre-1980 old Mustangs, and what kept me from buying most of them was the neck being chewed up. The crazy thing is this one was priced very much on the low end of those I tried.
My only worry when buying it was the guy had me try it out through a multi thousand dollar 60s tube amp that gave it a warmth I wasn't entirely sure was the bass or amp. In reality, it sounds better at home because now I hear more of the mids and highs, but that wooly old amp was pretty cool.
