Strings are short scale Swing Bass

I was certain that one of my guitar books had a picture of that bass. I was close. Page 98 of The Ultimate Guitar Book (Tony Bacon, 1991) shows the guitar version. States that the design was apparently inspired by the Concorde aircraft.
