The pickups are ‘Humbusters’. Patent pending in 1975!

It's a really cool looking bass, a shame about the extraordinarily poor upper frets access.
I guess it is a bass for people who believe playing above the 12th fret is sacrilege.

In case your Mom isn't around to tell you, be careful with that thing - you'll poke someone's eye out!!!

That's a really cool thing for...some situations. Devo tribute band? - absolutely. One of my church gigs...not as useful. When I see that, I see more 60's than 70's (I lived through bot of those decades) - perhaps the reason we don't see those very day is that they were a decade late style wise.
