Yamaha BB V jazz bass
Made in Japan, 1985

Got it from a dude nearby and he said he got this from japanese auction. Actually it's been a little while since I had it in my hands but It took me few days to work on.

It was relatively in such a good condition, but the hardwares were rusted away so I replaced the machine heads and the bridge to Gotoh.

Kinda wierd that it's named V and it's not 5string, I found out that this model was released a year earlier than the BB5000 which was first mass manufactured 5str with lowB.

I freakin love GB707 design.

Now I have two BBs from 1985 and they are clean as fkn whistle.

ErnieBall smoothie flats on V and LaBella gold flats on VIII.
I'm definately gonna get a round set for the V.

It's sick that I got one PP and another one JJ while BBs are going for PJ.

One annoying thing, pole pieces are flat, so E and G string sounds much bigger than the rest.

But it's okay it's beautiful.
I'm happy with it!
