NBD #2 Sadowsky Satin Deluxe 5

OK, I didn't mention this one when I got it a couple months ago, probably because I was too lazy to take pictures of it. So here it is. It sounds great and the craftsmanship is first-rate but, hey, it's a Sadowsky - what would you expect? I've gigged it with my blues band and it's perfect for that. I was thinking about putting a tort 'guard on it, but BSD has one with tort and I think I like the parchment better.

The parchment is a classic. Probably a good call to stay with it. But, the top is so nice, I would probably be tempted to try a clear guard on that one. Just for grins.

If those are the same ones as on the regular satin series, then they are the licensed Hipshots. They are not bad just some people prefer the USA Hipshots.

I believe they're morado, based purely on the fact that the cheapest rosewood upgrade on the NYC's is $300 and this line is meant to be more friendly to the wallet.

Sadowskys are always cool. They are Fender based designs, but for those who know about basses, they have all the little and not so little things that scream quality. Munji is a true bass connoisseur.
