Plays like an absolute dream. I usually have an extended bonding period with any new instrument, but this one just feels great right off the bat. The craftsmanship is next level and I love the feel of the worn neck... my hands are kinda sweaty by nature and they just glide effortlessly.

Thought I would hate the stock strings but the tone suits the bass well. Although if I am being honest with myself, a pair of flats are bound to end up on this puppy. I'm a TI kinda guy but maybe LaBella's are better suited for the gig.

WELL DONE, FENDER.

Has that bass been reliced? No opinion on that one way or the other, just curious. Looks great.
Yeah it’s of the “Journeyman” variety, which is Fender’s way of saying light relic. Some nitro hairlines, worn neck, a couple paper thin check marks etc. In my 20s I might have laughed at someone like me buying a relic bass..z the wiser me now knows it doesn’t matter if it sounds good!
