NBD: '59 CS Precision (green content)

Got my new bass the other day, it's THE best precision I ever got my hands on. Wouldn't trade it for anything!

3.76 kgs, U-shaped jazz neck!

It is an ash body. It also seems to be one piece, even though that would be a rarity for new CS models? The color is known as Lime Green, it has a strong metallic quality to it, and it is actually a bit darker / more intense in person.

I will weigh it without covers when I put some new strings on it...

@hennessybass, no it wasn't a custom order, at least not ordered by me. Found it in a small high end bass shop somewhere in Germany.

Having said that, it was exactly what I was looking for, so a true custom order would be more or less the same.

I bet it was a custom order from someone else. Very cool one of a kind find. I have been searching for a P-Bass for years - I've owned a few of them, but never see to find one I like. The P-bass with Jazz neck is what really got my attention on this one. I have a CS jazz (I bet with the same neck profile), and love it - it is a fantastic musical instrument. The neck on yours just looks good. The back looks all worn down, smooth, and fast.

I bet if you contacted the custom shop they could give you some info on it. Might be cool to know some back story, if you're into that kind of thing... if not, then just play the hell out of it and enjoy the music! Congrats on your NBD!
