NBD! '71 Precision

Super cool, sounds great and looks gorgeous! I’m usually partial to flats, but that sounds so good with rounds on. That bass speaks to my point about the CV basses being too yellow. Everything but the headstock face are more of a tamed maple. What’s the difference between an A & B neck? Also, what’s the thickness of the body on that bass?

Wonderful. Perfect. Thank you! IIRC, and this was decades ago, American Express was running its "Do you know me?" television advertising campaign, and there was one spot where the spokesman was a very refined elderly English gentleman, a baronet or something, to judge by his residence in the background, and maybe one word in five he spoke was intelligible. This was right after Plague Dogs was published in the States and word about that glossary had gotten about. I've always wondered whether that man was speaking Geordie.

I wonder if it was better than this attempt? :-D

Just realised the screw heads on that are identical to mine - despite the fact that they've hardly ever been screwed or unscrewed. They just seem to get old. I think the pickup height on this has been adjusted perhaps 6 or 8 times in my entire ownership, since I've always used the same strings, but the head is basically just corroding away - sweat does that. Same with the pickguard (US)/scratchplate (UK) screws...

I had to look back on that one haha
I love my Lakland!
