So I like the L but I have a silly little issue with the cut only preamp. I'm always paranoid if I have it the right spot. I would love a rotary switch for the preamp so I can click in the right spot. That might sound ridiculous, but I would use it.
I will also admit, I think Ed Friedland unintentionally did a disservice to the review and I will explain.
He said it was less aggressive than the L.
I don't necessarily agree with that statement. I think that pushes some players away.
You just add a touch of mids to the the M and you pretty much have the parallel version of the L that is active only with a more flexible low and high band eq with more control. IMHO
