Found this bass (2010 American Standard) listed online at a local shop (Atomic). Went there with some guitars (six and seven string variety) that I never played.
They were asking $849 with a HSC, and instantly knocked the price down to $739. I then got $550 in credit for my trades. It has a few scratches, but is way better in person than their photos.
So all told, I was out of pocket for about $230 with tax. I'm pretty psyched.
