Thanks for the kind words!

I think Aria really sat down & put some time & thought into what this model was going to be all about. It feels really well thought out & executed by design.

To my knowledge there's nothing on the market (short of maybe some custom build) that packs all these features into a single P/J style bass.

I'm digging it! :thumbsup:

But I wonder if they'll keep the forward P position? I kinda hope so because I think it's doing justice to the tone of the instrument.

I really dig the P tone as it stands, I think keeping the P in the current position would be a good idea. :thumbsup:

Looks like it's more mid centered to have the look and feel more aligned with standard P basses.

Actually, lining a photo of it up against a P, that split pickup appears to be significantly closer to the bridge than is traditional. Another bit of imaginative placement :thumbsup:

Aria is hardly alone in that often on less expensive they spend money on the stuff you can see and draws your eye, then save money on hardware and pickups/electronics. Fortunately, often the hardware is good enough and good pots, a cap, and shielding don't cost much to replace/improve.

Nice mix of new, not me-too FSO. CONGRATS.

Aria has 'wandered in the wilderness'with only occasional and/or partial distribution since their 80's heyday with the SB basses and PE electric guitars. A shame

I can't recall seeing Aria in any brick-n-mortar store - ever.

What a shame too - been watching videos of all those older SB models (with the Alembic/Wal type of notch filters installed), they sound incredible! Had I seen one of those back in the day, I'm sure I'd have one already.

In the UK, these are being sold by gear4music, a big, mostly online operation with a showroom just a couple of miles from me.

The price here for the 4 string is £380, which is the same as the SR370E, TRBX304 and Squier CVs.

Edit: the Premier Guitar review of the 4 string PJ says the nut is 40mm (same as the BB424 / BB434 etc etc) and a Reverb advert for one gives the weight as 8 lbs 2. I'm going to be very curious about the straight P, with its interesting pickup position, when it's released.
