NBD: Atelier Z Vintage 504

Just picked this up today! Japanese hand made goodness! Last year Atelier Z did a limited run of 50s style P basses and I managed to find one with the specs I want. All passive, Atelier Z custom pickup, alder body in 2 tone sunburst, maple neck and board, vintage bent style bridge, gold anodised pickguard. I bought it new from Kinko Music in Japan. Very easy transaction except for having to deal with Australian Customs.

On my 30th birthday I gifted myself an Atelier Z 70s style jazz and it has blown me away ever since. I'm turning 35 this year and have been planning to celebrate it with a P bass. So it's an early present from me to me. Plus it'll be perfect for my new original project, writing 70s rock stuff (think Free, Cream, Led Zep, Hendrix).

Nice ;Congratulations!

Lucky that they are available in OZ; there are no dealers in the States.

ATELIER Z makes superb quality bass guitars. their builds are first-rate.
I've had a Model JHJ-189 for about 6 months and it impresses.

Yours is a fine looking P-Bass.
