NBD: BassLab short-scale

Absolutely stunning. I really love the shape of the body - it works perfectly for 6-strings - but my next Basslab will be an L-Bow VI.

It almost looks plastic, but also alien, thanks to the orange finish. Mine is a Cranberry Pearlcoat, like you’d find on a PT Cruiser, and it sort of looks like a PT Cruiser.

I'd like an L-bow too! But first I need to finish restoring my PT cruiser (drove it cross-country from the west coast out to here when I moved, and it's time to start prepping it for the upcoming paint job). I've had twenty or so vehicles in my lifetime, but this is my favorite of all of them...(including the ones costing 20x as much!) Been driving it nine years now and it's been very good to me

I want one so badly, but really want to try one first. I think I'd choose a 5 string L Bow though

There’s a fretless one on eBay right now, for an awful lot of money.

Congrats, that is such a cool-looking machine and in a great color (and yes I see this thread is two years old, LOL). Questions for you. How much does it weigh? It can't be that much since it's short scale and headless, but the body is so thicc. And second question, what is going on around frets 23 and 24? In the photos, those two look rough and unfinished, like someone patched it and painted without sanding - but the rest of the bass looks so smooth and perfect, it can't possibly be? Maybe it's just an artifact of the photo?
