Very punchy, like a really good active jazz bass should. The low B is a beast... one of the best I’ve ever heard/played. Slap tone is spot on.Looks great. I love the painted fingerboard. Been lusting after an all-white Jazz for a while. How’s it sound?
UPS Expedited shipping was my only option. Cost me a couple hundred bucks but worth it, after waiting 3+ months for this thing to be made.OK. Which private carrier did your seller use? I am asking because I ordered a small piece of equipment about nine months ago from a Japanese seller, which would normally be shipped Japan Post. But right after I ordered it Japan Post shut down parcel service to the USA due to COVID-19, so my piece of equipment quietly slumbers on the shelf with the seller. I'd like to be able to forward the shipper information to my seller to see if he can actually finally send it to me rather than wait more months on Japan Post to reopen. Thanks.
Thanks. That is many times more than what my piece of equipment is worth, so I will wait.UPS Expedited shipping was my only option. Cost me a couple hundred bucks but worth it, after waiting 3+ months for this thing to be made.

Isn't the Mets' color orange?Very nice... but that's most definitely Mets blue... no doubt about it.![]()
I don't want a refund. I want the equipment. The seller and I are on good terms. It will ship when Japan Post reopens to the USA.You should have received a refund. At nine months, not sure you can even file a claim.
Indeed it is. Needless to say, this bass won’t gig without a microfiber cloth nearby at all times. Fingerprints!!Is the back of the neck painted blue?
Extra like points, if so!
You had me.....right up until " Yankees fan"
Super nice lookin bass though.![]()
I will *always* hate the yankees (and red sox) with every fiber of my being (go Cleveland!)... but even in yankee blue that is a sharp, sharp bass. Congrats!
Yeah, I figured I’d get a little Yankee love (very little). But that’s been my team since I was a young’n & Reggie Jackson hit all those home runs.Stunning, and Moons unfortunately are so rare on this side of the Pacific. Congrats of something delightfully different, and oh-so tailored. I also somehow keep thinking I'm seeing a 'NY' sticker on it, which would really drag it down.
Congrats, again.

This arrived today from Japan. It’s my Moon Larry Graham 5 in navy blue. And it is spectacular.
I’ve been a lifelong Yankees fan and have always wanted a navy blue bass. It’s my favorite color. So I pulled some color swatches when I ordered this bass. Turns out, Yankee blue would likely look almost black on a bass finish. So this bass is actually Minnesota Twins blue. If anyone asks though, it’s still a nod to NY.
What’s awesome is that the navy is everywhere, including the fingerboard. It’s going to be a fingerprint nightmare, but that’s okay. This thing is gorgeous. My only customization was to add a chrome Hipshot A-Style brass bridge, so I could get a little wider string spacing.

It only took 3 days to get here from Tokyo! Of course, I was also pretty enthralled by the Japanese newspaper used in the packing. Doesn’t take much to amuse me, I guess.

I’m declaring it now. This is my last bass for 2021. Should I start taking bets on that???
