So today I finally picked up a bass that I have been going back and forth about for weeks. It is a 5 string Brawley bass in natural finish. I got it set up to my liking but it could use a good fretboard cleaning and oil. Also I wasn't aware of how bright the tone is on these. I dare say it is brighter than my Conklin GT4.
Here is the kicker.. I went to pick the bass up and the guy who owned it said it hadn't been played in years and been stored in a case(included). Also he had a Behringer BXL1800A bass amp sitting there. I made a comment about the amp and he offered to sell me the pair for $225. I was about $25 short so I mentioned that I didn't have all the cash. He tossed in the amp and the walk away price was $200. Not too bad I would say. On to the pics.
