OK, here's the rest of the details.
In the Prail wiring diagram for the top switch as depicted in the diagram, when the pot is DOWN, the middle lug on each side is connected to the lug at the TOP of the diagram. For the bottom switch, when the pot is down the middle lug on each side is connected at the bottom of the diagram.
The Red and White wires on the Defiant are exactly the same as the Red and White in the Prail diagram, however Black in the diagram corresponds to White on the Defiant pickup and White in the diagram corresponds to Black on the Defiant pickup. That said, you want to remove and turn the bridge pickup 180 degrees and reinstall and for the BRIDGE pickup ONLY you will use the following correspondences:
Pickup Wire Diagram wire
Red Black
Green White
White Red
Black Green
If you put the top switchpot (B500k) where the 3 position switch is now, and the bottom switchpot (A500k) where the tone pot is, when you pull up just the top switch, you will get the inner coils, and when you pull up just the bottom switch you will get outer coils (this made sense to me since the top switchpot is the middle pot, and the bottom switchpot is an outside pot).
I think with this info, you can replicate what I did, or modify it as you see fit
