I just got this yesterday. It's a purple mid 90's Carvin LB20 in great condition. I love the feel of this bass. But I'm not thrilled with the sound of the passive H50N pickups. They sound okay but kind of flat. I ordered a set of Wilde J46 bridge pickups to replace them.
This is my second Carvin. I also have a mid 90's LB70 with active H50N's. I like what the preamp does to the H50N's. But I still feel that it sounds kind of flat. I ordered a set of Fender Super 55's for that one.
