Well hey, for that here's a few more! The toughest thing for the camera to capture is the board. It actually shimmers and the rolling figure in it changes depending on the angle of light -- aside from the birdseye figuring.

Well hey, for that here's a few more! The toughest thing for the camera to capture is the board. It actually shimmers and the rolling figure in it changes depending on the angle of light -- aside from the birdseye figuring.

Someone submitted for approval the following comment on my youtube sound sample clip of this bass:
"So interesting to purchase such nice, pro equipment without first having mastered teh instrument! That second bass is really cool."
Ouch.
But really? I'm just a self-taught rank amature who at this age/stage of life decides to get a KICKIN' first fretless to enjoy while growing into the instrument. I'm quite sure many TB's totally get that.

I've been playing it in practice for a few weeks now. It's about 2lbs heavier than my alder LB70P, but I'm finding that's not terrible for me. I originally was overcompensating or not lightening my touch with my left hand technique and had some pulled feeling on the back of my left forearm afterwards. Never had that in all my many years of playing. I've lightened up and it's all gone. Hooray. I'm finding no lines/no dots is not terrifying as I thought. It's an adjustment but one that I seem to be able to eventually make. I'm glad for the stretch. (Not starting some flame war on that - just sayin'.)
This bass SINGS. I'm REALLY digging the world of fretless, and I'm glad I made the choice. The epoxy on the board is KILLER.
