NBD Coming...first in 6+ yrs!

I am primarily a guitar player...haven't played bass for over 6 years (since I was last in a "band") but I have been getting the itch for a bass lately.
I went and tried a few out today, Squier Classic Vibe P, CV Mustang, Schecter something or other, a short-scale Sterling...but decided not to buy yet as none of them were really calling to me, except the one that was out of my price range.

I came home and browsed through Reverb, and found the one I wanted for a great price...made an offer $100 under asking thinking there's no way they'd accept it, but they did!
I also ordered a set of La Bella Flatwounds, as I've never played on flats before and want to try them.

Holy cow I checked out one of these in five string today and had to have it. Got home and put flats on it because I've never tried them. It sounds killer! Congrats on the new bass and great choice.

A good deal considering that bridge can easily be $60 all by itself. Love the "sans pickguard"....it really highlights the blue somehow and instead contrasts more with the neck (pau ferro?). Cheers!

Agreed, I usually don't like the look of Pau Ferro but with that wonderful shade of blue it just pops really nicely!

Lol, not Pau Ferro though, it's Roasted Maple....I am a Pau Ferro hater. lol

The OP says it's roasted maple. I actually love PF. A fine-grit sand and some danish oil really make the grains pop. I've said many many times that Fender does PF a huge disservice by selling it bone dry. Those fingerboards are soooo thirsty.
