So today on a trip to gc I found a German Warwick standard corvette fretless used for 549. After getting the Mrs to agree I will be the proud owner in 16 days after gc mandatory holding period for used gear. Is this a good deal or just average for the German made?

Sounds pretty good to me. I usually seem them in the $800-ish+ around me used. My dad got one for $600 (a 5 string corvette standard) because it was just too good a price for him to pass up.
