I need to stay away from Long and Mcquade because I tried these out when I was trying an amp and fell in love with it. I told myself I shouldn't buy another bass but when I saw a brand new one online for half the price I had to snag it. When he seller delivered it to me it was like it came straight from fender. He also set it up very well.
My thoughts: Beats any standard precision bass I have played. It actually reminds me alot of the american standards due to the head stock and bridge style. The neck is to die for and the pick ups don't feel as bland as the mim standard. I remember playing a mim standard and my girlfriend who knows nothing about basses said that the bass sounded boring. This is the first stock fender pick ups I didn't feel I had to change immediately. I've also never had an actual brand new bass before, it feels nice!!
My theory is that Fender wanted to boost sales of their MIM basses so they made the Classic vibes a little worse (still sold out everywhere right now) and the MIM a little better. What you guys think?
