Well, it finallllllly happened. Off and on over the past few years, I've kept my eye out for a specific fretless Pedulla. It isn't particularly rare for them to come up for sale, but what I was looking for seemed to be rather elusive.
Pedulla Pentabuzz, *unlined*, Artic Blue, bart P/J and pre w/ mid switch. I watched a LOT of lined fretless ones come and go. Several I wanted to pull the trigger on, but I knew in the end I wouldn't be truly happy with that. I had my EBMM Bongo fretless to tie me over anyway.
NAMM this year came and went. I followed along in the picture thread, and saw a few photos of the Pedulla booth. A lot of great looking basses, and as I was eyeing those a thought crossed my mind; it has been a few months since I've looked on here and reverb for one.
Hop on reverb, type in "Pedulla" and hit search. A handful of listings come up, and on the second row was it. No way - the exact spec I wanted at what seemed to be a pretty good price. I hemmed and hawed, slept on it and stared (read: drooled at) the pictures. My wife, always so supportive says "you should just get it. You have your Dingwall coming, but this is perfect." She's a musician, and totally gets what this is like. Another couple of hours annnnnd boom, I hit the buy button and it comes my way, landing here at home just a short bit ago.
So, as they say, "Pics or shens", here are some too-huge pictures.
