I managed to snag this Eastwood BV for about £300 on eBay- A few little dents on the wings but absolutely nothing to worry about for the price (considering the only other ones I could see were three times the price).
I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised that it feels quite a bit like a scaled-down version of my Thunderbird- the neck is very similar. It's my first shortscale so I wasn't sure what to expect, but so far it's exceeded expectations. I definitely did not think a 30" bass with a three point bridge would take C standard tuning without seriously beefy strings and a setup, but it's handling it with no problems. The scale length seems to really bring out a different character in my fuzz pedals too.
More, better pics when I stop playing it.
