NBD: EBMM Stingray Special 5HH

Didn't plan on getting a new bass this week but a Stingray popped up on my local Facebook Marketplace. They don't show up very often in my area (other than the import Sterlings) and I had been thinking it would be fun to get a Stingray at some point. The price was already pretty good but I made the seller an offer that "I couldn't walk away from" and they accepted it.

So long story short, I now own an Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling Special 5HH in Brûlée. It's in like new condition with the plastic still on the plastic and included the Mono soft case and tool bag.

That's a great looking bass! I've had mine for many years, and really like the variety of tones. Great B string. Mine's a little heavy at 10.5 lbs.

I almost purchased that bass from zzounds last week. I ended up getting the stealth black darkray 5 instead. The darkray was my original plan and I would have gotten the stingray special if they didn't have the darkray colors that appealed to me in stock.

That Brulee is a beautiful finish. I've never seen one in person but, if it's like a lot of other EBMM finishes, seeing it in person blows away the pictures of it.
