NBD - Epiphone Jack Casady 20th. Ann. Bass

I just wanna know how you got a gig bag?? I have a gold top and a 20th Anniversary and both came with hardshell cases. Which is nice, Gig bags are just more useful for me.

My 20th came with a gig bag, although not the stoutest version around, so I purchased a hard shell for it. I tried it in my standard bass Mono Vertigo and it is not wide enough. I'd love to find a better made gig bag that fit. Maybe an AGB case?

The 20th is only advertised as coming with a soft gig bag, none of the others are (at least not on the Epiphone website). The 20th Aniv only comes as a kit i believe. Bass, gig bag, strap and booklet/certificate.

I got mine used. Only came with a hard case.
shame. its not a bad bag really. certainly convenient for traveling with. i like snug fitting bags, and this is obviously made to fit, but the front pocket is practically useless for me. I cant even get decent wide strap in it.Still, it saved me having to source a bag for it, and ironically this bass, brought new, was cheaper than the standard versions.

Interesting! Yeah, a gig bag would be more convienent for me. I use my JC’s for a Thursday acoustic gig. Most of the bars/pubs we play have small setup areas and storing two gig bags while playing would be much easier than two hard cases.

What's different about the 20th anniversary model??
Do any of these come with an ebony fretboard or some other material than rosewood? I just picked up a used one (love it already) but it doesn't look like rosewood to me. I've seen others, even 20th Anniv, that look more like normal brown rosewood. Maybe mine is just really dark? Curious what y'all have seen and heard.

Strung mine with Pyramid Gold flats, and it sounds fantastic. Plays great too. Definite keeper.

Sure looks like ebony - do the 20th Anniversary models come with that?
