Is one of the knobs a dummy knob? Cool place to put the controls. I like the Stratocaster jack. Nice pickguard. The thumbnail 12th fret marker is cool, too. Is it comfy on a strap? It looks like an Exploiter mated with a Thunderbird on Venus! Funky weird.

Yes, volume, tone and dummy knobs. I think the switch is single coil, parallel, and series on the MM humbucker. It balances quite well, no neck dive here.
I saw a picture of one probably almost 20 years ago and have been (idly) trying to find out what it was since - it came up in the weird bass thread and Nealbass id'ed it - I immediately went to ebay, and there one was - not cheap, $870 used (including express shipping from Japan), but it's definitely a high end well put-together instrument. Very solid.

Wow. That's a great price for such a unique instrument. I'm tempted to try to find one myself -not to steal your thunder, but because it's that freakin' cool. Like a Hallmark mixed with a Dean ML or something. The pickguard and knob placement really make it, too.
I couldn't believe there just happened to be one on ebay when I first looked - must have been fate!
