NBD ESP/LTD B1005 Multi scale

played her for about 20 minutes after work gotta shower and eat but first impressions this bass is BALLSY major beefy tone very lightweight couple of things I noticed the pocket between the neck and neck pickup is pretty deep take some getting used to and seeing how it's my first fan fret I gotta get used to that as well but outta the box it's a winner for sure preamps not to shabby either but because I'm never happy I will probably replace it with something else

Ok after playing it some more I've come to the conclusion that this neck came off a nt thumb. Obviously at first glance the wenge/bubinga combo gives it that allure but upon playing it I noticed they adapted the invisible fret tech Warwick does as well as jumbo frets which I'm not typically a fan of but on this it feels natural and almost conincides with the size of the sound this thing projects!

Next the deep "slap pocket" I've played other basses that have had the same feature once again I've never been a fan of but its growing on me much like the fanned frets and angled pickups for thumb positioning

I'm very glad they went with the big splits instead of the singles. I use a B7K and with the singles the fat stacks and the dual coils they were all noisy but with the splits I didn't have to turn on my smart gate. We'll see if that's the case when I play live and loud.

Fit and finish is very well I wouldn't have chose the dark red/maroon color on the back but it's not bad either. It's got a Conklin style neck joint going on but the compensated it with the deep lower cut away that's pretty awesome I can reach the 24th fret on the b string if I wanted too

So all in all I'm very happy with the bass I couldn't tell you what kinda strings it came with but they're not bad I got some payson stainless on their way which I'm excited for I'll record a decent demo after I get those on if anyone wants to know any more or see anymore feel free to ask I'm pretty sure I'm like one of 4 people with this bass so there's not much info on them I'm gonna play it some more now peace

Thanks for the info! I was considering buying this one but was afraid I would end up with a rather plain looking top like the one on yours. While it of course makes no difference in actual performance, I like a bit of flash on my instruments. I really hope some local stores eventually get these on display.

How do you feel about the build quality? This is a 1600-1700 euro bass in Europe so fairly expensive.

its my favorite bass now. ive added flush mount strap locks and use payson stainless strings and the thing sounds the way i wish all my thumb basses sounded. its awesome for sure
