Grabbed this today, I had been wanting a fretted Jazz bass and got a “fair” deal in this one with 3 additional pick guards.

I was looking for a passive Jazz, but ended up with an Elite.

I have a Precision Elite, and was satisfied with the passive sound, just like an American Standard, so I figured the Jazz would be the same; it was.

Fender, the prettiest, no, the most technically advanced, no, the “best sounding or most playable, likely not…

BUT:

Well built, good looking, and if yours breaks, gets stolen, struck by lightning, or run over by a bus, you can go into virtually any music store or pawn shop on the planet and replace it on the spot with one just like it, or at least close.

It’ll play fine and sound great.

Not a Prima Donna, bass, a workhorse bass.
