NBD: Fender MIM "Squier Series" Jazz (project content)

so I got this dude for $89 bucks, its a '94. I got this bass because i thought it would make an excellent project bass for the price. My limited research suggested to me that these had american made bodies and necks, and the tuners say schaller licensed. After getting it home and doing a set up, it plays really nice. and it also has a decent sound. the pots are really scratchy and go out if you play with them too much but that can easily be replaced. the body has paint chips and scratches. I plan to strip it off and re paint it. Thinking about Fiesta Red, and getting a new pickguard with the chrome control plate. Also thinking about a matching headstock. the trust rod turns and the frets are level and have minimum wear so i think this was a good deal.

89 dollars? What a steal! I'd be content just playing it as it is, those were very solid basses.
