NBD: Fender Precision 1975, lefthanded

Here's my latest find, a '75 Precision I bought yesterday. In the first picture it is shown before cleaning, new strings and setup:

And here it is, after cleaning and getting a fresh set of TI flats:

The stripped natural finish isn't original, I'm told it was Olympic White (there's some white paint visible under the bridge cover, the body finish has been stripped to the clear primer). I took the pickup cover off and stuck it in the case as it gets in the way. Changed pots and pickup: the bass has a Fender Original '62 replacement pickup, and it is staying in the bass as it sounds really nice. The original pickup and pots come with the bass. It is a heavy one (11,5 lbs) with ash body and a really chunky maple neck, but it is perfectly balanced, no neck dive at all.

A quick update.. I've been playing this bass now for two days, and the tone is really beautiful: with TI Jazz flats it has this upright-like blossoming growl (especially in the lowest range) which I love. Huge sustain and punch, too.

I am probably wrong but shouldnt the Fender logo be out at the end of the headstock?
Anyone?

It depends on the year of manufacture. The logo placement on my '75 is correct for the early-70's period, from mid-1976 on you see the logo at the end of headstock, with model name added. Like on this '78: Invalid Link Removed

Thank you sir. I was aware of the mid 74 transition from tug bar to thumb rest and pickguard color change-while the TV logo lasted until late 74. I'm clueless as to what the southpaws were doing and/or when the late 70's logo took over.
