NBD - Finally One That Isn't Orange, Red, or Brown

Since I primarily buy used color has always been a secondary/tertiary concern for me. Inadvertently this means I've ended up with a fair number of "warm" colored instruments. While I would have picked this up in any color, since I've been looking for the right one for a long time, the new addition to my overall color palate is appreciated.

2000 Fender American Deluxe Precision Bass, in teal green transparent:

Made sure to avoid any feet in the picture.

Although apparently my face still shows up.

21 years later and it still has the plastic cover on the battery cavity.

Shiny.

The inlays are a nice touch.

I've wanted one of these models for a LONG time, ever since I saw Chi Cheng playing one with the Deftones. I'm stoked to finally make it happen.

Thanks all. I'd actually been saving for a Sandberg California V in a similar color, because I love the P/MM pickup layout. This was definitely less scratch and now I can throw the remainder toward a Sandberg V five string. Such are the perils of being 50% four string and 50% five string as a player, lol.

It’s actually even more versatile than I expected. I like P’s for that classic sound, and I like adding a bunch of grit to my ‘buckers. It’s been cool to not have to swap between instruments when I watch to switch up genres during practice.

Hey thanks. It's funny, ever since that foot thread on here a few months back I'm always on the lookout for it when I look at classifieds. I don't know if I was purposefully blocking them out before it was brought to my attention, but they're everywhere.

I had one of those in blue burst. Wish I still had it. Think mine was a 1998

every bass I've bought new has been black or blue, every bass I've bought used has been red.

I'm right there with you. About 75% of the orange, red, and brown is red.
