NBD - FrankenJazz, TalkBass Edition

I'll try to make this long story short. I wanted a Jazz Bass in Lake Placid Blue. I started checking TalkBass more frequently, and all of the parts I wanted magically appeared within a few weeks. This place really is an amazing resource.

Here's what I did:
1. Bought a Squier Classic Vibe Late 60s Jazz Bass from @davelowell2 for the body
2. Bought Fender Custom Shop 60s Jazz Pickups set from @JeezyMcNuggles
3. A friend installed the pickups + new CTS pots
4. Bought a Fender American Vintage 74 Jazz Bass from @OnTheDownLow for the neck
5. Got some neck adjustment advice from @Fun Size Nick
6. Assembled with a new pickguard from WD Music and my favorite Elixir 45-100s

Thank you all, and for Dave and Robbie, I hope you don't mind that I de-constructed your basses! I ended up making an almost-equally-cool bass from the Squier neck and Fender body and will use it sometimes or sell it.

Not at all man. That bass looks awesome.

That and the new player + green are my two favorite fender colors
