NBD! (G&L Content)

I've been pining for a P-bass for months, and this one in the TB classifieds had really caught my attention. I was keeping an eye on it, hoping I could get the funds together to buy it, but I couldn't make it happen. I followed the listing and was really, really disappointed when it sold.

Anyway, I came home from work last night, and it was sitting out in my living room! My girlfriend and roommate had driven down to meet the seller and pick up the bass. She had originally gotten it for our fifth anniversary, but gave it to me early as a congratulations for getting into Nursing School. I was in utter shock. The bass (G&L LB-100) was minty, literally brand new.

Anyway, I played it through my early '70s Blueline SVT at rehearsal tonight, and it was a dream. Best bass I have ever played: the notes just danced off of the fretboard, the sustain was unbelievable, and the tone was sublime. I understand what all of the P bass fuss is about, now.

And yes, it has flats on it.

I am not a nurse, but I play one on TV.

Cool bass, cool story. Luv the color combo.

My #1 is a LB-100 with flats, too.

After hearing so much about G&L lately I've been looking at a few.
I sure wouldn't mind the one you got!
Nice surprise, too.

What a great story.

That's an excellent color, too. I can't tell if that's a mint or cream pickguard, but either way that's one of my favorite color schemes.

I got an LB-100 this year and figuratively can not put it down.

Also, be nice to your x-ray techs.

What a great story, and a great bass too!

My wife did a similar thing with a motorcycle I was planning to buy - the only bike I'll keep forever. Hopefully this bass ends up with you for the long haul too. (And the lady!)

Enjoy!
