I tell new owners to start with bass and treble at 50% and vol backed off a little and work from there. I learned this the hard way.L series G&L are a different beast. The aha moment for me was when I realized that it is NOT necessary to dime ANY of the controls to get a good tone. The pups are so full and hot that you can drop volume, treble AND bass a little and have great output and tone!
I kind of wonder if it wasn't the wrong set up when I previewed it.
I play through a rumble 200 and he put me in a rumble 500 and I just didn't enjoy the experience.
I also try to kiloton and all it sounded was clanky to me.
Seems more and more I'm just kind of a p bass guy.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, It really looks and sounds awesome, real test will be at band rehearsal tonight![]()
so how did you like it in practice and are what you comparing to? Did you find the controls confusing, as too many possibilities, I ask because I had a while back with my first Ibanez, but maybe now that I am more experienced it won’t be as daunting.....Some say they are heavy, is that your observation? Thanks everyone!
