NBD. G&L Tribute Fallout Bass

So my order arrived from Sweetwater (love that place). I just hate this part....

I was good. I waited. I've been looking for a versatile short scale bass. I have a Hofner Beatle bass, but that has a distinctive sound to it. I've always been impressed with my G&L Tribute LB-100 for it's tone, playability and build quality. Watching videos of Ed Friedland digging his Fallout bass convinced me to go this route. After an hour of playing it this morning, I think I made the right choice. Can't wait to gig it this week after I put the GHS short scale Pressurewounds on it. Anyways, here's some pics.

I've never owned a short scale but have been interested in what tones I could get out of one, and the Fallout had also caught my eye. Like you, I have an LB-100 and I love it. I would like to hear what your impressions are after using it for a while.

Great bass. I bought one last year and the only mod I made was a white pearloid pickguard (and SIT Powerwounds). I absolutely love it!

Sweetwater said 8lb 15oz but I haven't weighed it yet.

Good luck with your new Fallout. I picked up a white one a few months back and really like it. I bought a tort pick guard from someone here on TB as I wasn’t fond of the black. It’s a fun and inexpensive compliment to my CLF L1K.

Haha, I did the same thing to my LB-100. Didn't care for the black, so I added a brown tort guard.
