NBD Gibson es335

So they've coupled a quality arched top with higher quality pups? That's worth a look. Not that my Fender is any fancy piece of hand work, but the hot pups have always been the deal. My Spector, better quality Korean made, decent pups. I happen to also own a 68 ES 335 that is of pretty exceptional quality, with decent pickups that I would have no reason to replace, but their basses of previous eras seem to be handicapped with weak pups..... fixed? Did Gibson finally clear up the bass pups?

They are pretty much LP pups. When I got my LP Standard bass and plugged it in it almost blew my eardrums out!

Really hot pickups.

The LP pups in the 335 bass are outstanding. When I first saw a picture of the bass, I wasn't all that crazy about the look, having the old EB-2 vision stuck in my head. Once I played one through an amp, I learned to love it instantly. It is a great bass for the money and can rock with the best of them.
