I must confess , I just love the look of the Hipshot. I’ve got four basses with 3points , and have always been able to get things exactly where I want them quickly and easily.
So if I really like the Hipshot , this could get expensive.

Well I finally got my black Les Paul DC "blinged up" a bit. New stiffer foam under the pickup. Chrome pickup cover and surround; and new chrome plate at the output jack.

You can see my "Before" pic in post #73. Even the "Before" pic looked good IMO, but I'm liking the chrome contrast with the black!

My les paul is the worn brown, it came out of the factory super dark! three years later and lots of hours playing. its starting to lighten in color and im able to see & enjoy that beautiful mahogany!

Mine is red.
I love the feel of the finish.
I do put Dr Duck's Axe Wax all over the body and fretboard on a regular basis.
It makes it look less matte, and makes the wood really look great IMO.

The bridge came in, I love it.
This is easily my favourite thing to play. It’s light , and the neck simply feels wonderful. And it’s got tone.

These Gibson basses have the SOUND I've been chasing for decades! Better late than never~

I liked the Jr so much I bought an SG , but they’re very different basses. I love the way the Jr works like a Pbass because of the pickup placement. It remains the favourite.
The SG does have a very unique tonal thing happening.

I just got mine. Love everything about it except for the weight. It's a little chunker! 9.5lbs for a short scale is a bummer. I'm a lefty so I don't have alot of choices. This was the only one for sale.

Other than that I love it. I'll play it while keeping my eye out for a lighter one.

In case anyone wants pickguard options, I traced mine for a project today. Amazingly, it fits exactly on a sheet of 8.5x11 letter paper.
