Those - along with the white ones - were CME special edition and available only through them, about $300 more than the regular model.

From my understanding, a Les Paul case fits it. I’m going to check this week when I go to practice. My buddy has a couple different Gibson cases for his and I’m going to see if my bass fits.

I can squat mine in a Gibson Les paul case but the headstock is touching the edge. Also you have to put something under the body like a towel because it sits at too much of a angle to close the top.

The one I own /tried is the 80s Gibson brown with the pink lining.

Just a quick update, since I got the awesome idea from jpmcbride about some mod ideas, I got the stuff in and here is what she looks like currently (still contemplating the bridge)

I got a Gator case on the way. Will let everyone know how it fits. I just put a set of Labella flats on mine...not sure how I feel about them yet.

This les paul was born to play rounds. I just dont think its well suited for flats. Jmho

Im sending my les paul to the shop very soon. Im replacing the bridge, having a brass nut installed, changing the pickguard to white, and having a chrome pickup cover and trim installed. I will post before and after pictures.

Congratulations OP. These are great basses, I Love mine. I thought I'd share a pic of some easy mods that make it look even cooler than it does stock. Hipshot bridge (functional and looks good), chrome pickup cover and ring, and Les Paul knobs with silver tops. I guess you can tell I like chrome!

What’s involved with changing to the chrome pu cover? Is it the Thunderbird cover on eBay?
