My stand partner in the orchestra I play in is going through prostate cancer. So far so good, but he is taking stock of his life, as one does in that situation. He surprised me yesterday by telling me he had a bass he wanted me to have since he has no one to give his stuff to. I was overwhelmed and honored that he wanted me to have it. It is a bass that he made from a kit during Covid. He put really nice hardware on it, Seymour Duncan quarter pounders, Gotoh tuners, a Badass style bridge and he also completely shielded it. It plays really great and I'm looking forward to gigging with it next weekend!
