NBD Harley Benton BZ 4000 NT

After a 4 week wait and avidly checking tracking numbers it finally arrived.

This is one of the top range Harley Benton, Thomann's own brand. An active thru neck Ash Mahogany Ash body with Sycamore front and back and 5 piece Maple Nato neck. 18v electrics and a lovely finish.

Void_Walker posted yesterday about his 7 string model and I'm glad to say mines didn't have any problems. No shielding issues or cheap stings.

Out of the very well package it's nicely set up, action a tad low for my taste and a slight tweak on A and D for intonation and it was good to go. The neck is slightly thicker than my Cirrus but only slightly and it weighs a wee bit more but not uncomfortable. On plugging in no hiss or hum, pots work with no crackles same with the input. Good well defined lows just how I like it.More experiments will allow me to explore the range of tones.Comfortable string spacing of 17mm at the solid bridge, Vol,Balance,Bass,Mid and Treble. D'Addario 45-100 come as stock

That about wraps this up apart from a final note £194.

Yep this beautiful bit of bass cost £194 delivered. 30 day return and a 3 year warranty as standard.
I don't know how Thomann do it but I'm sure glad they do.

Going cross-eyed trying to look for a similar bass here in the US on the internet - if it's on our shores under another brand. I've checked Raven West, Rondo, Laguna (I thought at first it resembled the Ocean model). No luck yet. Although as mentioned by kodiakblair, it can be delivered here.
