NBD! Ibanez 1505ms EHB

I’m in the same position - no way I could get to try one. But would want to get something that has a good almost P and J tone as a foundation. I have a Soundgear SR755NTF which is a PJ but the preamp and Nordstrand pickups allows a great variety of tones. Love the idea of the light weight and the ergonomics would be a lot like my bass which is probably the most comfortable I’ve played so far.
Well I can say personally its got both the P in the neck J in the bridge and Pj in both
Ergonomics are great as well if that's what you needed man I reckon pull the trigger, best of luck!

Excellent playing, you guys sound great! Pretty cool how this video actually ends up being a really good review for the bass. You've got varying levels of distortion and effects, intricate and grooving parts, AND even another bass on the same rig to compare it against!
Cheers man! Thanks for that, means a lot.
Depending on who wrote the riffs between me and the guitarist lets me try and get a bit more experimental hahahaha. Drummers only 16 as well he's one hell of a kid.

Certain strings would come out even though it is locked in tightly.
Now this could be because of my own doing, I'm not to sure.
I had an E string come out a little bit halfway through a song at rehearsals and this would keep happening.
This could be due to something I messed up, bad string or just an old string.
After changing it it was fixed
There is also an issue when tuning up, the tuning peg would reach its limit and couldn't go any sharper.
Again once I tried out a different string it was fine.
So I am not sure if this is a problem with the bass, myself or there are certain types of strings it doesn't like.

Been sitting here thinking about buying a EHB for days now. It started when I was looking at adding items to my $5k USD wish-list on SweetWater, for their win-your-wish-list promo.
At first I went for the expensive Strandberg, but the position of the upper strap-button was a deal-breaker for me, so next was the EHB.
It's basically an amalgamation of the the things I love: Nordstrand, low-mass, no neck-dive

I had wondered about the mechanism that holds the strings in & I had been telling myself I was going to wait for the second generation to buy.
Have you continued to have this problem?, where certain strings just will not stay put or won't tune up
or did you figure out what had gone wrong in the past?

I'm so

I;m so sorry I didn't get back sooner, been incredibly busy with Uni and havn't been on at all.
Honestly no can't say I have, I think it was just me stressing tryna change the strings quickly before I leave for the studio or a gig or the like.
Probaly just me not paying attention or doing something wrong.
Now the only thing that is annoying me and when I go and get it set up next ill ask, is the springs on the bridge have become rusted.
I sweat very badly which is why i need to change strings and look after parts.
But even after less then a year the springs in the bridge have become more rusted then basses i've owned for much much longer.
Hopefully isn't to much of an issue.
Also cheers for the EHB Club!

I know what that's like, several years ago I took the maximum credit-hours for a semester & was losing my mind about halfway through.

I had one slip yesterday, since I realized changing strings is SO easy on the EHB I've been trying different ones.
It slipped when tuning up, so I relaxed the string, pulled it up again & tightened it again, then it was fine.

the springs in the bridge have become more rusted

uh-oh, that's not good, but probably won't affect performance

cheers for the EHB Club!
