Lately I've started downsizing my bass collection, to create funds to invest in a bit of a home studio to dabble in some songwriting. Coming from a P as main instrument I started to ask myself: is there a single bass that is like a Swiss army knife that I can get a lot of different sounds from? I was thinking that it had to be a 5-string PJ with an active/passive switch. So I could still use a passive P-like sound as my main sound and customize where needed.
Enter this SR655e! The neck feels very nice and playable, it doesn't fight me like the P did. But I've never really played a fiver before, so tips and tricks are very welcome.
