NBD - JP90

Pictured on the right next to last month's NBD, Aerodyne (got a little luck, made some extra $ .
Really nice neck, light weight, fits my aesthetic of "well-used", altho' the Duncan bridge pup is not working right, but the price was right.

Having just got the JP90, I did a little research: the bridge pup is a SD active with dip switches (3). WT...?

BTW, that's schmutz on the lens, not on the bass (by the bridge).

I've owned a couple of JP90s when they were new and still can't understand why they sell for less than used Mexican Fenders on today's market. Personally, I found the pickups a bit anemic for my taste at the time, but that's the easiest issue to resolve on a bass sporting a PJ configuration.

I opted for EMGs back then, but there are so many choices nowadays...

Be careful of the pickguard on that, they break easily (at the jack), I think only 2-ply.
I used a right-angle plug on mine, to help relieve the stress.

I wish I had kept mine, but I used it for a year & then sold it for twice what I paid.

Thanks! I took the Aero out a cuppla weeks ago to a jam (with 25 y.o.'s I posted about elsewhere) and it was perfect, like, like, like a telephone call.

I look forward to running the JP90 through a loud amp with a band, hopefully after I replace the non-powered active jazz pup. What were they thinking? Fill the hole?

Congratulations I have always been intrigued by this bass. It may be an optical illusion, but the P pickup seems to be closer to the bridge than a traditional P Bass. What do you think?

My 2nd ever bass was that exact color JP-90. After coming from a Squier P with mile high action (and not knowing anything about setup's at the time) the neck on that JP-90 was a dream.
