Nice choice. Schecter makes some wickedly good guitars and basses.

I talked to AMS and they assured me that the picture on the website is a the pic that schecter sent out when the bass was released and they have had many emails about it and the pic is fluke and that all Schecter basses come with properly alighned pups, I mean if is does come that way.. back it'll go..

I like a lot of what Schecter is doing-this one's no exception. I played a 4 at GC a few months ago and I was impressed. The coil-splitting on the bridge 'bucker adds some nice variety to the tone.

So you are saying the pole placement is supposed to be two poles to the left of each string instead of the string centered between the poles? That seems odd.

Check again bud, there's no pole on the other side of the G string. I've seen some real pictures of the basses and all the one's I've seen have proper alignment. In actuality the P Pup coils are reversed on the real thing. The longer one is on the treble side and the shorter one on the bass side.

the pups are just swapped in the promo photo. Can't believe someone at the online stores hasn't photoshopped it, but I'm sure it's right on the basses.

I wish they were 34" scale. I'm intrigued by them.

I do believe that this gentleman is correct. Anyway, that is an easy switch (hopefully the wires are long enough), when you get it.

I really like dark coloured basses with the BWB pickguards. Very nice.

That HB looks really close to that bridge. How does it sound?

These are nice basses. They don't really sound like P basses to me but they have their own good thing going.
