I too have an addiction to koa. Bad.

The problem is that koa is becoming more difficult to find, and expensive.

I've replanted a few trees via these folks: Hawaiian Legacy

I took possession of this about a few months ago, but forgot to share its beauty with the masses!! Sorry, I won’t let it happen again!!

Rob showed me in process pics of this at winter NAMM, and I fell in love with it. I’ve always had a secret infatuation with koa. Well, they don’t get more koa than this beauty!!!

all the koa for this bass was harvested from one piece of koa. I thought that was pretty cool.

These trees get huge!!

And just so beautiful....

Fortunately koa can no longer be cut down for harvesting. Only dead, fallen trees can be used for lumber. That probably explains the rarity and high prices...
