FedEx delivered this today to my work. Hope to get my own pics and a full review up soon.
Looks promising. Hows the weight? Ive heard is often a heavier wood. More then alder body would?
9.5lbs. Solid, but about what my StingRay comes in at, maybe even a fraction lighter.
Thanks for buying that, it was starting to get to me!
No worries. I had a feeling it wasn't going to sit there too long. I'm out of GAS for a while so you're on your own when the next one comes up for sale.
Really nice looking bass!
Awesome! I love that.
Is walnut used as the main body wood or is it just a top/finish?
That thing makes me fell funny in my pants!
That's sexy. Jazz neck?
That is a solid body chunk of East Indian Walnut. Excellent acoustic resonance.
Jazz neck #8 and it is absolutely silky smooth. Reminds me of my old US Lakland where the neck finish allows the left hand to just glide from note to note.
Beautiful bass. I got myself an Imbuya (a variety of walnut) bass being built for me at the moment, and this just makes me more excited for it.
Would be interesting to hear some clips. I've only ever listened to ash L2Ks, not even alder ones.
That is an awesome chunk of wood, what year is it?
Brand spanking new. Born on date 1/9/12. Made about 2 miles from my home, about a mile from my work, sent to Seattle (BNW) for about a week, and then shipped back down to my work last Friday.
