Day 4 Review:
Really, really impressed so far. The bass is beautiful. The natural walnut body is stunning. I greatly prefer stained bodies like my '98 Cote Continuum. There's an almost organic connection when feeling the grain of a nice chunk of wood in my hands

, and the black hardware is a perfect match.
This bass resonates unlike any other bass I own. Its very alive sounding. BNW always describes their basses as having "a piano like tone", but this one really has that.
The #8 neck is ultra smooth. My left hand glides around on it. Its like this neck was carved specifically for my hands.
Tone-wise, the G&L fans are right, there are lots of options with these L2K/ASAT electronics. They all sound good and my preference over the weekend was both pickups, series, active, tone controls full or nearly full. We recorded this weekend and, compared to the StingRay which sounds great in our rock/funk/blues trio, the L2K has noticeably more body and depth with richer overtones while still maintaining that bite I'm used to with the StingRay.
I've got a really good feeling about this one.
